Anyone familiar with the Eckankar religion? Eckankar is a religion that appears to be a combination of early Scientology, and Sikhism. But, the emphasis on light as the source of creation, and all light and all sound the result of creation, it seems like it may be an extension of Atenism. I attended a Scientology church regularly for nearly a year, then went to several Eckankar services and thought they were both interesting, even though I learned the Scientology is very much the scam its been made out to be - a lot of commission-paid staff trying to sell books, sell courses/classes, and overpriced confessional and therapy sessions called auditing. |
