I used to do it more than I do now, but I have always tried to use the language of the religion I am a member of (or, at least portions of it). It is important to remember that words have power and that they are used to help convey what we see and experience. I like using certain Kemetic/Ancient Egyptian words because they help me get into the right frame of mind, and they have a particular meaning that means more to me in the Kemetic Langauge. That doesn't mean others have to do it, but I think it helps convey the spirituality of Atenism and the Kemetic faiths in general. |

Ankh A translation of the term might be "life" or "eternal life." It represents the fundamental connection to life that all living things have from the beginning of their existence. It is sometimes used to show how life or the life force is conveyed from the Divine to human beings, and how life is infused from one form to another to ensure vitality. That's a neat idea, we should work to introduce words into our own religious language |
