As you might have noticed there is not much activity on this forum which is unfortunate. I wish more people in this world would find Atenism as an alternative to the "other" monotheistic religions. Atenism is pure and full of light. I keep my blog at www.atenism.org and this forum at www.atenism.net up and running for the few who care about Atenism, even though very few people in the world will never visit these sites. For you few who consider yourselves Atenists, please become more active in our religion and share it with others. I will continue to keep Akhetaten Fellowship alive for you few who care, and maybe one day Atenism will become a Universally acknowledged religion and will grow to save our planet and end all wars of hatred and bring humanity peace. I concur, anyone who believes in Atenism please POST! One rolling rock can cause a landslide, one man can make a difference, and one mote of dust can tip the scales to the right side. The only time we don't matter is when we do nothing. |

I think it might also be a good idea to put out little pamphlets on Atenism, just what it is about. Something to get people interested, even if it is only one or two people. We can't get the ball rolling if we don't do something. |

I know that one day Aenism will become one of the mainline religions. I also know that it will take all religions, and all the people of the world, working together to make the world a better place. Right now it is a minority that is trying to make the world into the place it should be, and that will grow in time. Someday this world will be the peaceful and happy place it should be. |

When it comes to the future it is easy to say "Atenism will never grow to become the religion it should be." The world can be a harsh place, and hope requires a good source of water and light to grow. In this harsh world those things can be hard to come by, but they are there. I would be lying if I said I don't sometimes look at the world and think how hard the path is and how easy another path could be. However, I then think where the path I am on will end and how it will become easier as others start walking that path. I also remember that there are others on the same path, even if I don't see much of them. We are not alone, and one day the path will be easier. Just look to where the path of Atenism leads and remember that you are not alone. |

I know people stumble across this forum, as I have had a few people come to my website from here. If you come here and you like what you see please join the forum and you will be heard. We are co-religionists and with the rebirth of Atenism our voices will shape what it will become. |

Nothing is easy. Trying to recreate a religion most certainly will not be, but as we will co-create together the path will be easier. There are times when things are not going my way that I sometimes wish the world were easier, but I also relish the challenge at other times. Even though it is tempting, I don't give up. My beliefs have given me strength when I needed them, and I will be there for Aten. The world need a better alternative! |

Atenism can rise again. In what form you may ask? Well, I feel that Atenism can return and must return to it's original form, not a reconstruction or reinvention. That is my own personal belief and others may have a different opinion to my own which is fine and I welcome everyone's opinions and beliefs concerning Atenism. I often wonder why after so many years of being an Atenist, so few people join the Fellowship. Is it a lack of faith? Desire? Leadership? I started the Akhetaten Fellowship at the start of the new millennium and since then few have joined or participated in discussion. I feel perhaps not enough people know of Akhenaten OR Atenism in particular. Perhaps a lack of leadership on my part. I will have to admit I have been disillusioned over the years but I have always kept the www.atenism.org portal open for those who are interested. I've kept the pilot light on as it were and hopeful that Atenism will eventually find acceptance in the world eventually. I am sure there is someone reading these words who can contribute greatly to the cause of Atenism which we so cherish as the ideal religion for peace, love and security in the world. |

If you build it they will come. I hope I'm not the only one who gets the movie quote, but it is true. People are searching for their Path, and a good guide along the Path. Be the guide, or be the person searching for one... or be both. Meryre, I know you have the strength to bring Atenism back. I know you have the faith, and you have had the life lessons necessary to be a good guide. We all have failings, and we all doubt ourselves. Dream it, build it, be it. I know you have it within you, I know you can do it. I once doubted myself, that I could change and become the person I am today. I had only to realize the Path, to see it for what it was, and follow where it led. I had to take the hardest step of all, try to stop doubting myself. |
