| Interests | Hi, Everybody! Please allow me to express my interest in joining your cause; I would like to be in contact with people who share my interest in Akhenaten and Atenism. Let me give you a bit of background information about myself. I am a Jew, although I have dropped all religious observances a long time ago as being entirely irrelevant to my current beliefs. Judaism does not now, nor did it ever, satisfy my longing for meaning and beauty, justice and truth! I have never been able to shake off the feeling that there was something vital missing. In fact: the picture of the Old Testament God, as worshipped by Jews, Christians and Moslems, fits, in my view, the profile of an all-too-human psychopath far better than that of a life-giving, loving God. And the history of the followers of this God certainly seems to bear me out! Having I studied the life and the teachings of many religious teachers, both ancient and modern, such as Akhenaten, Buddha, Jesus, Viracocha, Zarathustra, to mention only a few, I can say, without any reservation, that it is Akhenaten, his teachings and his personality, that impressed me most and his is the path I am on. There is no doubt in my mind that Judaism is a descendent of Atenism, albeit a corrupt and degenerate one. I feel that by having adopted Atenism I have not converted away from Judaism but actually returned to its true source. This is all I want to say at the moment. I am looking forward to your response.
